Brooks Pate has been selected to receive the 2016 Williams F. Meggers Award from the Optical Society. The award will be presented at the Frontiers in Optics 2016 meeting in October. The award is for outstanding work in spectroscopy and specifically recognizes Brooks “for the invention of the chirped-pulse Fourier transform microwave technique”.
He has also been selected for the 2016 Charles H. Herty Medal which is awarded by the Georgia Section of the ACS. The award is given in recognition of an outstanding chemist who has resided for at least 10 years in the Southeastern US.
