The Open Syllabus Project has compiled an online database of books assigned in over one million college courses over the past decade. The Washington Post described the results of this compilation as “essentially our canon: the body of literature that society’s leaders are expected to be familiar with.” Biochemistry, co-authored by Professor Emeritus of Biology Reginald Garrett and Professor of Chemistry Charles Grisham, ranked 9th among the 87,085 biology texts listed. Congratulations to both!! List of top 10 Biology Texts
