Small Molecule X-ray Diffraction

Many of you are becoming familiar with the instrumentation you will be using for your research…so here is some help – a short presentation of the X-ray instruments available at the Nanoscale Materials Characterization Facility (NMCF) of the Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) Department.

The NMCF facility serves all UVA science and engineering departments. The NMCF also houses several powerful SEM and TEM electron microscopes, as well as Auger spectroscopy and surface Raman systems. Training on all of these instruments is available.

If you are interested in using any of the X-ray instruments please contact me:
