bridge01BRIDGE is an intensive six-week summer program, designed to assist incoming first-year minority students interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (“STEM” fields) in making a smooth transition from high school to college. Students in the BRIDGE program take courses in calculus, chemistry laboratory, and others for credit during the summer program to lessen their load their first year of college. Participants begin to develop relationships and a supportive network to ease their transition to college throughout this summer program. The Chemistry Course, which is comparable to CHEM 1611 (Introduction to Chemistry Lab for Engineers) is taught by Jennifer Maeng (a Curry School of Education Science Education doctoral student).
